JOB PURPOSE:
This position works to oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods and ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the stocks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the daily operations including shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehousing/storage. Also provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff, including resource allocation, timekeeping, and coaching, mentoring, and facilitating management process to create high performing team.
- Maintain the processes for the implementation of all requests of supply and delivery of goods from the warehouse to the branches. Developing them to improve performance and provide solutions to save the company money and smooth the flow of goods and materials.
- Report and provide all required information requested by the accounts department (annual allocated budget and expenses based on the forecast) to ensure the accurate and consistently smooth flow of information between the W/H inventory system and the financial system.
- Follow-up planning of inventory to meet demand plans and maintaining a quick response replenishment process in order to lower costs and improve efficiency and product availability in warehouses.
- Study the required safety stock method per item based on the receiving orders to determine the required safety stock per product and material, follow up and ensure that transportation of daily cash and cash-related documents are received regularly from all stores by the accounts dept.
- Maintain and improve handling capabilities by analyzing and improving the process, spaces, security, and safety layout of incoming merchandise operations.
- Prepare the necessary stock reports to make sure an effective response is taken to requests, quantities, orders, and distribution of products in order to maintain the inventory information.
- Work closely with all governmental authorizations in relation to arranging all the shipping procedures of the imported products to the warehouse in a timely manner.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years of experience in warehousing environment, shipping, receiving, stocking, distribution, material management & logistics.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or any University degree in Business Administration or relevant degree
