Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Sales Officer to expand our business in North America within the coatings industry. This is a remote, work-from-home position based in Canada, requiring a candidate with strong business acumen, excellent sales skills, and a deep understanding of coatings and specialty chemicals.
The ideal candidate should have 5 to 7 years of sales experience in the coatings, paints, or specialty chemicals industry. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel across North America and occasionally to South America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the coatings business in North America.
- Identify and engage with new clients and business opportunities in the coatings and specialty chemicals sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with coatings manufacturers, distributors, and industry partners.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and business growth opportunities.
- Manage sales negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract agreements.
- Work closely with technical and operations teams to provide customers with tailored solutions.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Travel within North America and occasionally to South America to visit clients and attend industry events.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of sales experience in the coatings, paints, or specialty chemicals industry.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and develop sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client meetings.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to South America.
- Age preference: Late twenties or thirties.
